More of the sketchbook drawings.

One of the problems I've been facing recently in making art is that nothing that I do feels inspired. I've been through this type of problem before, and it seems as though the answer involves being more reasonable with the process and less emotional about it.
A way to be reasonable involves starting with a theme, instead of doing what I am more accustomed to doing, simple drawing on a wing and on a prayer.
In addition to having a theme in mind, I like to recycle symbols, and on occasion, become inspired to try a specific combination of symbols used in previous works.

Really like the mood and feeling on your work, are you familiar with Zdzislaw Beksinski's work?

Oh... very, very familiar. I really love his work. He is a major inspiration for me, beyond doubt.

Thanks... I get a variety of interpretations of my work, some of them closer to my own, but I also rarely set much of a definite theme beforehand. I can see how the image on the left would bring an Aztec influence to mind, and how the image with the cross in it could indicate a type of religious interpretation. A very interesting scenario to me is the one in which people come to definite conclusions about what I wanted to put in there, where mainly I was trying to create a work of art that was done as much in a trance as possible. I do believe that if the content is very unspecific, a read will be automatically made by the person looking at it, and that it will not necessarily be the same read from person to person.

Agree with you, I just came to think that because I saw some motifs on it. For example the skull knight you have in your gallery would look like an image of Mictlantecutli, aztec god of the underworld. And some other here and there. But as you say that lecture may come from my own background more than from any specific intention you could have.

Anyway I find your work truly inspiring and interesting. Thinking on the trance you could fall in while doing it could take you to the basic perception of things and being just as any spiritual reflexion could so it would be obvius it takes you to the same big truth.
