oh wow. you can do this with micron pens ??? i have a couple of them, going up to 0.01, but wondered how i could use these. what kind of paper or board is fit for such pens ?
What I used for this was a bristol of some kind. I've found that microns will get torn up if your paper has too much texture, and they tend not to be as dark. Smoother is better, in general. I used a .005 and a .05 to deal with details and larger areas, respectively. Thanks.
I used to work in a printshop, and when they slacked me, they gave me dozens of micron pens O.o (39 total!) it wasnt selling very well there, and they knew i was drawing, so it was some kind of departure gift :-/ much better than a kick in the arse hahaha
so a bristol paper heh. I tried a couple of papers, and I liked a kind of mat marker paper from Strathmore. Altought, the .001 wasnt giving good result, marker paper takes a long time to let the ink dry. in the end, i always grew angry because of stains and fingerprints. looks like i will go browse the paper area at my local store for some bristol products. thanks for the tip !
